And realizing just how many 12 volt power supplies that have been left orphaned around my house I just went over to Ebay and bought a couple different LED strips. Here's one of them that should do nicely for seeing the powder in a shell.
Since I'm an HVAC technician with a lot of wire and soldering junk around here it can't be too hard to make one just as nice as the $29 ones...
