Hello, new member here. I was talking to Guvner and he mentioned a forum board member who converts .22lr cases into .223 projectiles. I have heard of this before and am interested in how this works. Might that be huntnman?

Guilty as charged. All you need is the brass, pure lead, derimming die, squirt die, seating die, point form die. A strong press, I have found that my RCBS press with an extended handle works well. A way to anneal you're brass ( lead casting pot, self cleaning oven, hand torch). A way to clean you're brass (stainless steel wet tumbler works best). I also added a canalure tool to add the crimp ring to my finished product.
This is a time consuming process, the tools are expensive, the off set is you will always have, no matter the market availability, a very inexpensive highly frangible bullet of any weight from 45 to 60+ grains.

I also use 40cal brass to make jackets for 44 and 45cal projectiles.
