Both Bull and Norfork are undergoing fall turnover. Surface water is 65 on the large open areas and you can find considerably lower temps in some areas.
The water in the main lake looks good, but half way back in the large arms the water looks and smells dirty.
All my contacts are reporting very poor fishing. I was out yesterday on Bull, marked most fish below 45 feet. Tried the downriggers with no results other than hanging a lure on a tree 50 foot down. I also tried for crappie back in a cove, no luck.
We need more windy days and cooler temps to get the turnover complete.
