Both Norfork and Bull Shoals AND the White and Norfork rivers are having a serious oxygen depravation event due to all the vegetation that entered the lake from the spring rains.
Fishing reports have been spotty, some walleye are reported but are stressed. Bass seem to be doing ok. Stripers are still dying and floating on the surface.
The corps is still dropping the lakes fast in order to keep some oxygen in the rivers and keep the trout alive. Reports claim trout fishing is not good until you go several miles below Bull as the fish stop biting in the low oxygen area.
O2 levels increase as you go downstream. I fished Cotter and did catch a few small fish, but the fast flow makes bank fishing difficult.
