Due to the low oxygen levels in Norfork Lake, the stripers have moved to 40 foot from 100 foot. The oxygen levels are depleted below 40 foot due to the rotting of debris from the spring floods that consume the oxygen. Many stripers are floating on the surface.
A 28 pound striper came in from Bull shoals this week, it was caught in the dam area on a jig fished 50 foot deep.
Bull is now 7 feet above normal pool. Both lakes are being dropped quickly and wade fishing should begin in 2 weeks on the White and Norfork river.
