Once you register you can pick either style by just clicking on the "Flat" or "Threaded" view link. You can view the two styles by going to:
http://www.lakestockton.com/index.php to view this site we have that prefers "Flat" view or this other site of ours where the users prefer "Threaded".

In any event once you register you can override the defaults you're seeing at all of our sites by just clicking on the link described at the top of each forum. This will not effect anyone else. It just compiles the posts the way you like to see them.
Any suggestions for any type of interest forums will be listened to.
