Hi All,

I just moved to St. Louis last month. I had a permit to buy a handgun signed by the Sheriff in Dubuque but hadn't taken my CCW yet.

In loooking at the requirements for the MO CCW I found one site that said I had to live here for 6 months before applying for the CCW, the rest just said I had to show residency which would be covered by the Drivers License.

Can anyone tell me which is true?

There was a 6 month residency requirement in the original law that has since been repealed. Now when you move here you are good to go on day one. Take a Mo class and apply, there's no need to wait.
