Your class was awesome and provided good information about a number of things to consider before and after applying for a CCW permit. Much appreciated.

I need to get a lock box for when I need to leave my weapon in the car for a bit. I've been looking at Center of Mass boxes with the combination lock for use under my seat and in the trunk. I give my (low) opinion of most lock boxes in the class in combination with the kids and guns/safe storage presentation.
Get a $6 bicycle padlock. Keep the key on your ring and the padlock fits neatly in your glove box or console without taking up much space. The shank is completely removable, holds the cylinder open on a revolver and can be locked TO something under your seat. It will even go through the ejection port and come out the bottom of the mag well on most semi-autos.

GunVault makes a nice line of small handgun boxes. The can even be bolted to the floor.
