What is the best way to carry a 9mm in the summer time? I like to have it in my belt under my shirt but I'm afraid it may be to visible.

The best inside the waisband (IWB) holsters I have tried have been the Crossbreed Supertuck and the N82 (nate squared). Both are extremely comfortable and easy to hide.

Can you tell us what gun? I am a fan of IWB holsters generally, but a KelTec PF9 and a Beretta 92 are both 9mms and a holster that works for one wouldn't do for the other.

It is a Smith & Wesson 9mm, Sigma Series

I like the Rosen ARG for day in, day out use. Milt Sparks makes a Summer Special that would be good for that gun too. The more forward rake, the better an IWB hides behind your hip. The SmartCarry works for larger guns if you're shirtless. When it's really hot I sometimes settle for just dropping a S&W snub-nosed .38 in my pocket. When in blue jeans, the pockets are too tight. A cheap clip hoster will hide a .38 well in front under a t-shirt, but if I carried that way a lot I'd use a Mitch Rosen Workman instead of the cheap cloth clip holster because it's way more secure and doubles as a tuckable in other dress modes. The better the holster, the more gun you will hide with confidence. Buying cheap ones here and there is false economy. Not only do you spend more money that way, but good custom gunleather will likely be inherited with your gun.

I carry an XD9 9mm - the subcompact model.

It's not really considered a slender gun by any means! But since I'm an XXL sized guy it blends in just fine. I like the short barrel and the versatility of the gun... it can use full or reduced capacity magazines (either a 13rd or a 10rd, I think). I only use the 13rd as I'm not comfortable with tiny guns - I like to have a full grip with no dangling digits.

Another great aspect of it in my opinion is that it's virtually the same grip size, angle, etc. as it's 45 ACP counterpart... the XD45. So whether I'm carrying the XD9 or the XD45 everything feels the same... and they function the same too... same safeties, mag release, etc.
