A friend of mine has a .380 LCP that Won't fire with the mag removed,,,
At 1st thought I figured it was like the LC9 or SR9c that had a part one could remove to defeat that safety.
After further research I found the LCP Is supposed to fire with the mag out So,,,
Does anyone have the answer?
My New friend would appreciate it.

I do know my wife's Ruger LCP 9mm won't fire with mag out either. It came with a dummy mag that in bright orange color which we have to insert if we wanted to do dry fire with my wife's Ruger.

I think it an odd safety feature because what if you wanted or need to fire the handgun with one in chamber but mag is defective and you don't always carry the dummy plug with you
