I guess I must have missed this section as there was a big article on Kansas City challenging this. What are the rules on drinking and concealed. Here's the article in question.

I already had one email about this from a student who thought I said you CAN'T drink while carrying.
I never say you CAN'T have alcohol in your system. If you are carrying there is no .08 standard, so it winds up being left to the officer's individual discretion to say if you are drunk.
For that reason I RECOMMEND against having a gun 'readily capable of lethal use' when drinking at all.

Even when they aren't trying to mislead they don't get the facts right. I cancelled that progressive rag 20 years ago
when I recognized that there is no lie they won't tell in their effort to put a system in place here like the one that collapsed the Soviet Union.

In this case they simply parrot a local TV newsroom that is even more factually challenged! I don't watch them either because they are usually wrong too.
