I want to carry in a few weeks on vacation with a Florida non resident permit. My travel route is Mo to Illinois (bad non-carry state), to Kentucky and then Virginia Beach. We will be in Wash D.C. for a couple of days and then home. I'm newer to CC so some help with the logistics would be appreciated. Thanks.

BE careful with a non-resident and do the research. A growing number of states have stopped honoring any license you didn't get from where you live.

Go to my site and click on the 'States honoring Missouri' link. It will take you to The MO atty general's recipricity page. from there you can click on the states in question and see if they honor non-resident permits or not.

Thanks Greg,

We are lodging in Kentucky and Virginia and those states do not have footnote (4) so I will be legal there. I plan to transport under the federal law in separate locked containers for gun and ammo going through Illinois.

Don't even try to take a weapon to DC.
